Press 53 Spotlight features three of Shaindel’s short stories, “Longing on Hwy 10,” “What to Expect When You’re Introspecting,” and “ISO.” This is the most short fiction of Shaindel’s available in one place–until she finishes her short fiction manuscript. Sadly, this title is going out of print, but there may still be some copies out there.

Shaindel is currently working on a novel and a short story collection.
Two of her short-stories, “A Horse Is a Horse, and Other Lies” and “Winning a Date with Cindy Swanson,” were nominated for Million Writers Awards for 2008 by their respective editors.

Longing on Hwy 10 was first published by Compass Rose, the literary journal of Chester College, and has just been re-printed in Red Fez Publications’ Red Reader.
